Ides of January

I love the Ides, it's a spectacular time to be alive. Sun salutations, crazy teaching, relay races with massive bruise-inducing tumbles, happy hour, pizza, mason jars, dancing, good music, and the love of my life . . . .

A Fortnight

Two weeks into the year and everything is wonderful! Long day at work today, but so much hilarity and productivity was had. Spaghetti and meatballs!

Wednesday. Midweek. Another eventful day. Busy morning, sun salutations, coffee, meetings, lots of them, laughter. Then a crazy yoga class that made me want to faint or barf, way too hot in there. Finally, Indian take-out and home to my boys who always know how to take care of me.

Dozenth Day

So my first week at my new job came and went. I feel like I'm in place now. Quite nice. Sun salutations for me this morning. Delicious fish dinner tonight. Thank you Food and Wine magazine.

Elevens

Another beautiful day in San Diego. A lovely morning, pressing the snooze a few times, lazily getting up, sun salutations, coffee, then work. Hilarious children keeping me laughing all day with their antics. Then home to my boys, who always know how to make me feel loved and important.

Another weekend goes by. Delightful movies, sun salutations, my boys, more dog beach, delicious meals, happiness.

Day Niner/ Photo The Same

A lovely Saturday. Sun salutations, cleaning, dog beach, brake fixing, relaxing, dinner making, wine drinking, movie watching . . . .

Day 8/ Photo Ocho

So the last few days have been all about the "stuff" in my life. Apparently there's a bit of clutter around, but today is about games, which consist of good clutter. I did my sun salutations again! No running, but oh well. Had a hilarious day with sixth graders, breaking things, laughing hysterically, dancing around, and just being silly. Then TEA time, so delicious. Finally home to my little Seppi, who loves me regardless of anything else. Great day . . . week . . . .

Sun salutations again. Photo again. This means that the first week of the year has been completed with my resolution intact! I'm so happy at my new job, the teachers and the students really make it a delight.

The first day at my new job was wonderful, yet exhausting. It takes a while to adjust to a different pace and energy. It's always wonderful to come home to my boys pictured above, no matter what kind of day it is. Sun salutations this morning with cereal.

Another beautiful day in Encinitas, as today's picture shows. This morning started with a family snuggle, sun salutations, coffee, and some banana bread baking. Then off to sign some paperwork for my new job! I start tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. 2010 is definitely off to an amazing start.

So far so good. I started this morning with sun salutations again, what a great way to begin the day. After a light breakfast it was time for a six mile run, I'm a little behind on my 1/2 marathon training, oh well. Then relaxing time; football, Scrabble, reading, cleaning, and the like. It all ends with another meal with my wonderful little family.

And so the year continues. Today included sun salutations, lots of Scrabble, and some delightful time at dog beach. It ended with the delicious dinner above; chicken soup with ginger, spinach, lemon, and, the ever-amazing, Sriracha.

A new year begins with new resolutions. Resolutions to slow down, enjoy more, and take great care of myself and others. So, I'm taking a photo a day and doing something active every day, including sun salutations. We'll see how it goes!
